Drawing in Space: Reed Sculpture

Purpose:

To understand how a line can be used to create a three-dimensional form

To create a sculpture that considers balance and repetition, variety and emphasis

To consider where artists find their inspiration

I didn't see a lot of other people attach something to their sculpture like I did so I like how it is unique in that way. I also enjoyed how mine had a tone of big circles and then two small ones which really emphasized the small circles. I wish that I had added paper to my sculpture. I think it could have emphasized the small circles even more

`Previously I thought that it could only be made out of clay stone but now I realize that people use all kinds of different materials. I now realize that space is another big part of sculpting. It allows the viewer to see it in many different ways. Lastly i felt like location was als important because If irt blends in with the location surrounding it, the sculpture doesn't stand out to people which is a big part of a sculpture.
