The purpose was to understand and to demonstrate the basic structure of the eyes, nose, and mouth of a person

Doing these drawings helped me work on the shape and shading of theses parts more up close and bigger before I had to draw them on a smaller scale. This helped me get a better idea of there shape and lighting on the face as individual parts before having to incorporate them into something that blending those parts together like a full face.
