Norfolk and Waveney Health Care Academy
There are opportunities coming up as a part of the Norfolk and Waveney ICS Programmes.
The different programmes provide students aged 16-18 the chance to learn about the many opportunities that are available in Health and Social Care. Set up in 2018, the aim is to provide the students with an accurate detailed overview of what is involved in the various careers in the NHS and provides and insight to some of the 350 professions the NHS prides itself in.
The Academy also offers advice on career pathways and equips students with interview skills so they are fully prepared and have a knowledge of what to expect should they wish to pursue a career in the healthcare setting. Students can also receive support with the next steps and be advised on any upcoming work experience programmes that are on offer.
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as well as Social care and other NHS organisations will all be taking part in the programmes, giving students a wide range of knowledge across the whole of Norfolk and Waveney.
