Take a look at the apprenticeship list that matches apprenticeships with their corresponding level, otherwise known as the Apprenticeship Standards.
For example, a Florist Apprenticeship is Level 2; a Veterinary Nurse Apprenticeship is Level 3; and a Social Worker Apprenticeshp is Level 6.

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and gain practical skills from the workplace. All employed Apprentices earn a wage.
£7.55 is the national minimum Apprentice rate (April 2025) for Apprentices in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For more details, check out: https://www.gov.uk/become-apprentice/pay-and-conditions.
Some employers will pay apprentices more than the national minimum wage.
There are four different levels of Apprenticeships, depending on your qualifications. Always check out the entry requirements and skills required.
After GCSEs, you may be able to start an Intermediate Apprenticeship; which is set at Level 2 and equivalent to 5 GCSE passes at grades 9-4.
After GCSEs, you may be able to start an Advanced Apprenticeship; which is set at Level 3 and equivalent to 2 A Level passes.
After college or sixth form, you could begin a Higher Apprenticeship; a qualification at Levels 4-7 and equivalent to a Foundation Degree, Higher National Certificate or Diploma, and above.
After college or sixth form, you could begin a Degree Apprenticeship; a qualification at Levels 6-7 and equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
