Online safety is an integral part of safeguarding at Thorpe
Online Safety is an integral part of safeguarding for our students at Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form. Our PSHE and ICT curriculum plays an important role in educating our students on how to keep safe online. Students are also reminded of the importance of keeping safe through tutor group presentations and assemblies.
The online world is posing an ever-increasing risk to children and as part of safeguarding for our students it is important that schools, parents and carers work together to take an active role in teaching children about the dangers online. Below are some links to websites which provide a vast range of information, support and advice which parents and carers may find useful to help keep your children safe online.

CEOP helps any child or young person under the age of 18 who is being pressured, forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity of any kind. This can be something that has taken place either online or in ‘the real world’, or both. The CEOP Safety Centre has clear information and advice on what can be reported to CEOP, the reporting process and what will happen if you do decide to make a report. Harmful Material - Lawful but Awful
Do you have concerns about something you have seen Online which makes you think 'Surely that isn't legal? There is a significant rise in legal but harmful material online. This can include racism, hate speech, bullying, pornography, suicide and self harm content and online abuse and threats. Technically, this material can be classified as legal but that does not mean that you are not a victim to harmful material. To report any harmful material you have seen Online please press this button
