Mission Statement/Course Description
Each member of the Yancey County Middle School Band Program will learn to play a band instrument and develop a mastery of musical skills relevant to their grade level. The importance of working together in an ensemble setting, while producing excellent music, will be emphasized. Each member will work together to prepare music for future performances.
Vision
The goal of the Yancey County Middle School Band program is to create thoughtful, creative and lifelong members of society who are lifelong lovers of music.
