Troop Treks

Have a look at some of the great treks we do:

2024 

Klondike Trek
Scouts participate in a race, comprised of a series of challenges related to scout skills while carrying a sled of gear. Scouts must work together to haul their sled and complete the challenges in the minimum amount of time to win.

2023 

Scouts hiked towards Tripod Rock on pyramid mountain using a 3+ mile, forested, quietly beautiful loop with rocky footpaths, stream crossings, overlooks, and memorable glacial erratics, including Tripod Rock and Bear Rock.
Summer Camp
Scouts went to camp Keowa and did a lot of fun activities and merit badges. 

Scouts participated in making the world's largest monkey bridge and competed in a cooking competition.
Whitewater Trek

Scouts had an amazing rafting trek and kayak rapids.

Cookout Trek

Exactly what it sounds like! Scouts spent the day honing their culinary and stove skills in order to make some truly delicious meals

Backwoods Engineering

Scouts spend the weekend in the freezing cold, using their knot-tying skills to create a wooden, fully usable bridge!

Scouts went through Watchung Reservation, attending campsites designed to test their scouting skills from stoves to axe throwing

Ski Trek

Scouts were able to go to Mountain Creek for a day of skiing down slopes that ranged from green to black diamond


2022

Feast Trek
Scouts prepared a feast and the first successful time of making fried oreos!

Scouts participated in making the world's largest monkey bridge and competed in a cooking competition.

Scouts had an amazing rafting trek and kayak rapids.

The troop first got to cook... a feast, learning how to work as a team to accomplish such a delicious achievement. Then they got to learn the inner workings of the troop's leadership.

The troop got to go rock climbing, the real way. Real rocks, real height, real nature, real adventure . 

In this trek the scouts were introduced to the art of horse back riding and learned how to ride, treat, and care for a horse.

The Silver Tooth Tiger patrol produced a video in which they show there excellent cooking skills. 

Winnebago Trek 

This trek was a fun week-long adventure for scouts of all ages and taught a variety of interesting subjects and skills, such as swimming, first aid, woodworking, and archery.

This trek was an enduring 8-day hike up and down a  mountain, on the Philmont trail.

Whitewater Rafting Trek 

This trek was an exciting rafting trip where the scouts kyaked down tier 4 rapids.

2020

A fun Trek where the Scouts cleaned up a campsite, and learned how to start a fire without a match. 


2019

This trek was when the troop hiked the AT Trail.

Sabattis 2019 Summer camp

This is a fun scouting camp that troop enjoyed in the summer.

This was when our troop hiked the Appalachian trail

This was a fun trip when the troop canoed down the Delaware river.

The Ice climbing trek was where our troop ascended a ice wall and repelled the ice wall.

This is when our troop prepares a full meal for the whole troop and then we sit and eat it all together.

2018

This was an chance to complete the fishing merit badge .

This is a fun scouting camp the the troop enjoyed in the summer.

This was trek where the troop made a 30 foot tower using logs and different knots we learned.

This trek was when the troop hiked the AT Trail.

A fun trek that involved some winter sports

Boy Scout Troop 67 is chartered by the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church 

If you would like to join Troop 67 please attend one of our meetings. Troop meetings are held every Monday at 7:30pm, at Lower Memorial Hall of St. Teresa's Church, at 306 Morris Ave Summit, NJ
