Q: What's so Significant about Being an Eagle Scout?


A: Eagle Scouts are defined by having completed the Scouts BSA program, having gone through all the requirements, earning all merit badges, designing and carrying out their own community service project, and acquiring all of the skills necessary to flourish as an adult. These scouts are the ones who the BSA program has fully prepared for life.

Q: Where/When are Troop Meetings Held? 


A: Troop meetings are held every Monday at 7:30pm in the St Teresa's Avila School building at 306 Morris Ave Summit, NJ

Q: Is Troop 67 Open to Women?


A: No, Troop 67 is a Male-Only troop.

Q: What Activities do Scouts Typically Do?


A: Troop 67 is known for a mix of activities; we have traditional annual treks, such as our whitewater rafting trip, ski trek, Appalachian Trail hike, summer camp, and FEAST trek (a.k.a. Scout Thanksgiving.) We also have unique trips, such as camporees, and the ice climbing trek. On top of these awesome campouts, we serve our community through annual service projects such as our earth day clean up and MLK day activities, as well as eagle projects.

Q: Is There Danger in Scouting Activities?


A: While some activities pose small risks, (such as climbing or rafting,) experienced scouting and adult personnel ensure the safety of all scouts.

Q: Does it Cost Money to Sign Up for Scouts BSA?


A: Yes, but Troop 67 raises to make admission affordable for all scouts. For specific funding information, contact our scoutmaster at Summit67bsa@gmail.com.

Q: Where can I purchase BSA literature, uniforms, and other program materials?


A: Materials are available at you local council's scout shops and other licensed distributors. For online shopping, visit ScoutShop.org to find the item you need.
