Nia Love

Nia Love is a Bessie award winner for the Most Outstanding performer 2017(ensemble of Skelton Architecture). Co-founder of LOVE|FORTÉ, and apprenticed with Ballet Nacional de Cuba in 1978 and in 1986 performed with Min Tanaka (Japan). Receiving numerous awards and positions-Fulbright Fellow (Ghana), Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) AIR, Suitcase Fund Awardee (Tanzania), CUNY Dance Initiative, and Movement Research AIR, advisor to BAXAIR's and BAX Racial/Equity Advisor. Presently Asst.Professor Queens/ Hunter College, The New School, MR/X artist at World Arts and Culture-UCLA, and visiting Professor in Fall 2019 at University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign. www.nia-love.com
