At the left is the general proficiency scale currently in use in District 115. This work comes out of Robert Marzano's work on proficiency scales and is slightly adapted to include a fifth level near the top.
Note regarding 3.5 rating: The reasoning behind the 3.5 is that a student performing at this level has shown mastery of the target skill whereas a student scoring a 4.0 has shown some evidence of skills in that particular area in the next grade level.
