Provides 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth.


988 Suicide & Crisis Life Line 

A national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Assistance is available 24/7 for anyone feeling depressed, overwhelmed or suicidal. Please note that these lines are still mandated to report if they feel someone is an imminent danger to themself.

LEGAL HELP SPECIFICALLY

Sexual Violence Law Center (Seattle)

The Sexual Violence Law Center (SVLC) is a nonprofit law firm that seeks to improve the legal response to survivors of sexual violence. Our advocacy is based in race and gender equity principles. SVLC is the only legal aid program of its kind in Washington, providing holistic legal assistance and representation exclusively to victims of sexual violence, assault, abuse, harassment and stalking.

We work with survivors to identify their needs and build a vision for the rest of their lives. OPS services include case management, one-on-one advocacy, support groups, therapy sessions, integrated movement therapy, chemical dependency & recovery support, referrals to housing resources, community meals, art workshops, yoga, peer engagement, employment services, leadership and professional development, and connection to other community resources. 24-hour crisis hotline, youth ages 12-17, Within forty-five minutes, a Safe Place coordinator meets with the youth, assesses the situation, and works with the youth to place them at a shelter or reunite with parents/guardians, community outreach.

People seeking overnight shelter can call (206) 632-1635 or come to our door between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM and ask to be put on the list.

If more than 45 people are trying to access the shelter, then a random drawing is done at 8:30 PM to determine who will be turned away.  The doors open for sign-in at 9:00 PM.
