It's a common phrase to say "learn by playing." Different communication theories confirm this. Games make us produce dopamine, a brain chemical that increases learning and stimulates our state of attention. Experts believe that games and playing need to be part of a course to learn effectively.
How can we design a game that is engaging to learn about a specific topic? Which factors do we need to take into account when designing a game? How can we make the instructions clear?
At the end of the project, students will be able to
1.- research and consider the range of features that could be used in the design of a game
2.- design a game whose aim is to make players learn something
3.- record a tutorial to be included in the game explaining how to play.
