Students create a protocol which helps to all European schools. Working in a collaborative way.
Each school creates a green team at school. We create a grid with some aspects we have to take into account in order to check the situation related to the recycling/reducing facts, activities in our schools, such as: switch off the smartboard, the light; paper, plastic, organic bins, materials we use to clean the tables, etc…
It is an activity for students Year 5 and 6. The activity duration is 4 months. Student create an eco tale, showing some of our local legends. Working in a collaborative way between Year 5 and Year 6
The tale is divided into 4 chapters:
1st chapter: Spain
2nd chapter: Greece
3rd chapter: Italy
4th chapter (ending): Portugal
The character of the tale is the Ecohero. Ecohero travels to Sant Feliu, Amphissa, Sant Cataldo and Lisbon. In each city, a legend will be told. The legend is related to the sea, to the environment, an Ecoproblem which the Ecohero, with the help of the children, must solve.
Students from Nadal School visited the local radio to explain our project. Also, they wrote an article for a digital local newspaper "Fet a Sant Feliu". You can listen to the interview, starting from the minute 4 and 50 seconds.
During the guided tour of the CRAM and in the activity of the workshop, the children analyze the level of contamination that exists in the sea, from two real cases.
It explains what the CRAM has done to help the animals that have been affected by this contamination.
6th and 1st Year pupils from Nadal School make different decorations and greetings for the Erasmus project pupils as: coloring small flags from Italy, Portugal, Greece and Spain, writing some welcoming greeting not only in Catalan or Spanish, but also in Portuguese, Greek and Italian language and hanging the three Erasmus partners fabric flags.
Students are very conscious about climate change and they want to do their part so they have came up with the idea of reducing the use of plastic at school. Although, recycling is very important, they thought that they could make a bigger change through reducing.
In order to be more eco-friendly with our environment, we decided to reused our Halloween crafts materials to make Christmas cards. They are nice, aren't they?
