We were shown books by different authors, but above all by the most important and well-known authors in children's literature. All the books they showed us had a special magic. They were captivating books, with beautiful illustrations and colour. At that time, we would have read all the books!
We found out about new authors who have written impressive stories, such as Go Away, Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberley, Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers and Milo's Monster by Tom Percival.
This bookshop is often listed as one of the ten most beautiful bookshops in the world. This family-owned bookshop opened in 1972.
When we went into the American Book Center, we couldn't believe what we saw! A three-floor bookshop full of books, magazines and games. There is also a cosy cafeteria on the ground floor. We saw readers immersed in their reading while enjoying a good coffee. An enviable place without a doubt!
While buying books, we took into account that titles should have a message and that stories should be set in a context close to that of their pupils.

All four of us really enjoyed the feeling of being able to choose and buy as many books as we wanted without any limits.
