Don't wait to see the destruction is a School Exchange Erasmus+ Project involving six European schools with students aged 10-15.
We all come from different cultural and geographical backgrounds with a shared purpose same to stop environmental degradation to create a more liveable Earth for all the livings. For this, we have planned local activities including environmental clean up, creating a garden and a forest, recycling from waste material, visiting waste treatment centres, animal care by making nests and feeding them, creating posters, ebooks, magazines, newspapers, using web tools, writing letters to the future and group works related to the this issue. We will also create common new year calendars, have debates to promote cooperative work. In our LTT activities, we will mainly try to discover different landscapes and endemic species of plant and animals to enable our students realize the diversity in nature, observe the beauties of nature and love it more. We will also include recycling activities from waste material in all the mobilities to see the different ways of reusing the materials.
We aim to enable our students to get to learn the importance of energy and water in our lives and the ways to save them by doing lots of activities requiring them to use their digital and handcraft skills. They will create logos, ebooks, online puzzles and videos that take attention to the environmental problems. With the artworks and debates, we aim to improve their critical thinking and self expressing skills. We mainly aim to educate our students on environmental problems, the causes of them and the solutions to stop the climate change. We want them to develop good environmental practices respecting, caring and taking an active role in preserving their nature. As we are in the 21st century, we aim to enable them to improve their digital skills while taking part in all these environmental actions. To increase their love for the nature by exploring it is also among our aims as they will struggle more when they have more love for it. We believe that we will contribute a lot for raising responsible citizens for a better future. We believe that we have no other Earth to live in.
Our project is innovative because we will observe and use methodologies applied in different countries which enables us to analyse all of them and find the best methods to apply in our environmental education. Students actively participate in all the indoor and outdoor activities. It also includes activities requiring students to use their digital skills in ICT works, creativity in creating poster, calendar, pictures and letter writing activities. They carry lots of collaborative works that improve their language and presentation skills. It is innovative also for enabling the students explore different landscapes with the different endemic species living in them. We will have lots of tangible and intangible results at the end of the project.
