As children we listened to the tales our parents told us time and again. Then, as we grew up, we read them ourselves. As a society we create a common culture and share our values by reading and telling tales. Stories explain, and we learn from the experiences of others.
Let me ask you some questions: Do you think the traditional tales we all know are tales which promote peace? How can a tale help us promote peace?
As the American writer Terry Tempest Williams once said:
“Stories have the power to create social change and inspire community”.
So what about creating our own peace leaders as a contribution to make our world a better place?
Here you can read the magnificent tales our 2nd ESO students have written.
.Enjoy yourselves with these stories that all have important things to say about conflict, resolution and peace.
