Thapas Joseph

President - Digital, Fountainhead MKTG (Dentsu Aegis Network)

Consulting Fortune 500s on Interactive Tech & Design

Thapas completed his BMM in 2007 . Thapas Joseph started Redigital, a platform that would bridge the gap between Creative Agencies and Software companies to meet the demand of Digital business needs. He worked with Fountainhead Digital contributing to the profitability of the company and led aggressive R & D to enter new areas like Design Thinking, Mixed Reality, Holograms among others. A dynamic Thapas is the Member of Digital Leadership Council chaired by CEO Dentsu Aegis Network.

He has been a constant mentor for the department and a campus recruiter.

Pearl Vas

AVP Strategic Planning, TAPROOT DENTSU, Mumbai, India.

Pearl completed her Masters in Communication & Journalism, Mumbai University and did an Executive General Management Programme from IIM Bangalore. She has worked with renowned advertising agencies like - Hindustan Unilever Limited, and handled responsible positions- Asst Brand Manager, South Asia. While working as Strategy & Innovation director, China, GREY group she worked on oral health products closely and helped them rank best and led an ad-hoc project on Brand Portfolio management.

She has been helping students with summer internship and project consultant.

Eeshit Narain

Freelance Film Maker, Director

Eeshit went to the Film & Television Institute of India (Pune). Over the years, Eeshit has worked on several collaborative and international projects from short films to commercials, documentaries to feature films. His films have travelled to festivals across the globe and won many accolades. His first Bollywood feature release - 'Qarib Qarib Single' (2017) has got rave reviews for its cinematography.

He has been a mentor to the student community and guides them in arranging talks, panel discussions on various aspects of media.

Sneha Reddy

PhD student at University of Andrews

Sneha’s academic achievements have been bright and commendable. With a keen interest in socio-political happenings she interned with the UN in Regional Peace and Security Programme to being a Research Assistant in University of Andrews.

Sneha has been writing and publishing various research papers. She went to Sciences Po-Paris for an international year-long exchange program in International Affairs.. She’s currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of St Andrews and her research areas include- History of War(1914-to date), political violence and international relations in two-world wars.

Sneha continues to be in touch with the students who want to pursue higher studies abroad in areas familiar to her.

Aparna Sudaresan

Aparna went to complete a degree in creative writing from Warwick University. Aparna began her journey as a journalist, content creation and feature writer. Her longest stint has been with Tinkle as a writer, Sub-editor for various stories for both major and minor characters. Winner of the 2018 Comic Con India Award for Best Continuing Graphic Series Aparna’s journey is inspirational and enlightening.

Chaitanya Marpakwar

Principal Correspondent, Mumbai Mirror

Recipient, Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism, 2019

Chaitanya went to Cardiff University to complete his Masters in Political Communication, Conflict Journalism- International Reporting. He was a media ambassador to Germany as part of Robert Bosch Stiftung’s India- Ger- many Media Ambassadors programme where he researched the menace of fake news and the fact checking industry. As a recipient of the Asia Journalism Fellowship in Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy he studied the clean and green efforts at making more livable community spaces. His core areas of coverage are - civics & politics. His action oriented reportage has made an impact in areas where the city parks are kept open longer, better footpaths for pedestrians among others.

A visiting faculty with the Mass Media department, Chaitanya initiates guest lectures of industry experts, helps in arranging workshops and acts as a Mentor.

Snigdha Hasan

Snigdha went to University of Mumbai to do a Masters in Sociology and completed a diploma in creative writing from XIC. Her understanding of social issues intertwined with political processes has been a driving force to do work as an independent journalist and freelance writer. As a journalist with renowned publications like The Outlook she has covered stories on various socially relevant issues and human interest stories. After working with leading publications such as Reader’s Digest and Mid Day, her creative pulse has landed her in the shoes of Editor, On Stage magazine published by NCPA.

Snigdha continues to support the department by conducting sessions on career opportunities in Journalism for the young media aspirants.
