Media and Communication

We live in an information dominated world. Our lives are structured by media information consumed through audio visual platforms, digital media, and films to political, social, economic policies around us. Our constant engagement with gadgets, social media platforms like Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon Prime and others has made it possible to consume information and entertainment at our own pace and will. This makes the need all the more significant to understand and analyze the various kinds of media narratives and their strength to influence us.

The course BA in Mass Communication and Journalism (BA MCJ), earlier known as Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) offers an introduction in humanities embarking the journey in media related subjects.

Entrance Test

The BA MCJ (formerly known as BMM) Entrance Test, is a 100 mark objective questions examination.

How do I prepare?

If you think you are well-read, good in vocabulary, curiosity to know current affairs, have a habit of reading news articles from various sources and passion to think out of the box you may apply for the examination. Along with these basics, the test will also specifically ask questions on Data Interpretation, Critical thinking, state-board high school/junior college level Economics and Media related questions.
