The Heart of a Hawk program is an initiative that places emphasis on character development. Each month the students are encouraged to grow in a virtue (characteristic) and live out the Xavier difference in the classroom, the hallway, the lunchroom, at recess, and out in the community. Each virtue is paired with a Catholic Saint and a scripture passage. During the weekly SEL classes students dive deeper in their understanding of the virtue and talk about ways they can live it out in their daily lives.

Hawks helping Hawks is a new initiative that focuses on peer mentorship and leadership. Hawks helping hawks is a buddy program where students are paired with either a peer or an upperclassman to provide support and positive encouragement throughout the day and the entire year.
More information will be posted in late August regarding this new school wide program. We are so excited for what is to come.
