Employment in Wyoming
Meaningful, competitive employment is an important pathway to independence, financial stability, and full participation in community life for people with developmental disabilities. In Wyoming, state agencies, community organizations, employers, advocates, and individuals with disabilities have worked together for decades to expand employment opportunities and remove barriers to work.
The Wyoming Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities supports these efforts by promoting policies, partnerships, and resources that help individuals pursue their employment goals and build meaningful careers.
This section highlights the progress Wyoming has made, the goals guiding future work, and the resources available to support individuals, families, service providers, and employers.
