The SDG are calls for action to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy health, justice and prosperity. The goals cover the three dimensions of sustainable devolpment: economic growth, social inclusion and enviromental protection.
I was introduced to SDGs my freshman year of high school. We learned about them through debates, guest speakers, projects, presentations, meetings, articles, etc. Learning about SDGs has been the best thing I have ever gained knowledge on because it caused me to open my eyes to reality. I have also realized the ways our earth is slowly dying. I will be introducing 3 SDG's to you.
SDG 1 aims to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. Its objectives include ensuring that the entire population and especially the poorest and most vulnerable have equal rights to economic resources, access to basic services, property and land control, natural resources and new technologies.
Goal 4 aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. This goal supports the reduction of disparities and inequities in education, both in terms of access and quality. The Quality Education SDG aims to ensure that all children, youth, and adults have access to quality education and relevant learning opportunities that will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today's rapidly changing world.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. Oceans are our planet's life support as they provide water, food and help regulate the weather. Oceans also provide jobs for more than 3 billion people who depend on marine biodiversity for their livelihood.
