SUMMER FUN ASSIGNMENT - WATCH TWO CHANEL COUTURE SHOWS THAT WERE HELD RECENTLY IN PARIS.

DESIGN A THREE PIECE COLLECTION BASED ON THE TRENDS AND COLORS YOU SEE IN ONE OF THE COLLECTIONS . Try your hand at sketching or trace the fashion templates from the doc.

IDENTIFY THE COLLARS, NECKLINES AND SLEEVES USED IN YOUR COLLECTION. After reading the fashion magazine articles, describe your designs in great detail. What colors, fabrics and silhouettes did you use? What is the theme of your collection?

Use the templates here to trace for your own designs or sketch your own poses.

The Chanel Spring 2019 Couture show, held in January, 2019, was the last collection under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld who designed the brand since 1983. He passed away on Feb, 19th, 2019.

The Cruise 2020 show, shown in May, was created under the direction of his long time associate, Virginie Viard.

Can you see a difference in these two collections for the same brand?

What is the definition of a fashion brand?
