Hi my name is Jessica Mitchell, I grew up in Indiana and had some pretty amazing opportunities to travel in high school.  I fell in love with the mountains and decided to take a leap of faith and go to school at University of Idaho where I graduated with a BS in Geology.  I continued my education at Washington State University where I achieved my MS in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy.   I worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for the next ten years in Colorado.

When my company downsized and moved to Houston my family decided that I would 'retire' from oil and gas and focus on raising our family here in Colorado.  I have two students who attended their elementary years at WWA and I enjoyed serving on the Accountability Committee and volunteering in the classroom while they were young.

In 2019 I was asked to join the team of EAs at WWA where I began to serve our youngest students in kindergarten. I loved being in the classroom so much that I decided to get my teaching degree through the Aspire to Teach program at University of Colorado Denver.  I am qualified to teach 6-12 science, but the desire to be involved in my kids' lives while the transition into adulthood brought me back to my EA position at WWA in kindergarten as it allows me the perfect balance between volunteer opportunities, family and adventure. 

When I am not at WWA with students I enjoy coaching the JV tennis program at Ralston Valley, hiking, backpacking, skiing and playing tennis.  

Hi! I am Rebecca Lang and I am very excited to be teaching here at Woodrow Wilson Academy!
I grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
I moved to Colorado and taught in the classroom as well as ESL (English as a Second Language) and got a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado in ESL.
I have an eighth grader here at WWA and a high schooler. Our family loves to read, play games, and go hiking and skiing.

My name is Denise Reyes.  I was employed at the 27-J school district for many years.  I worked with all ages but mostly elementary aged students including students with special needs.  I have been married for 37 years and have two boys ages 18 and 20.  We love the outdoors and travel to Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, and Yellowstone.  We love to hike and fish.  I am excited to meet everyone and work with the wonderful staff at Woodrow!

Hello , My name is Rachael Miller and I have been Mrs. Mountains EA for 2years going on 3.I am an Oil brat but overall, I have lived in Colorado for 20 years and my most influential years in North Dakota for 15 years. I went to the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND on a Tennis Scholarship, where I met my Husband on a Football Scholarship. He is from Southern Oregon. We have 2 girls, a 14 yr. old and an anchor baby, she is 8! We have been apart of Woodrow from K-8 th . I was drawn to Woodrow because I was not interested in the common core curriculum, and had heard

that Woodrow was core knowledge and more traditional. I.E expectations and learning standards. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I would play teacher for hours! I thought I wanted to be a high school teacher one day.

After a couple years volunteering in various areas in the school, I really enjoyed being in kindergarten. Shaping young minds and seeing the lightbulb turn on is so amazing!

Kindergarten has so much growth start to finish. Its so big that we even throw a graduation party for them! I absolutely love and enjoy being an Education Assistant. Turns out this was my dream job. After a Medical emergency I found out the Woodrow is not only good at everything, they are a wonderful school family too.
