Important Dates:
Spirit Day First Friday of the month October 2 (wear school colors: blue, black, and grey). There is a trophy for the class with the most participation!
Kinder Field Trip October 2.
Parent Teacher Conferences October 8 3:45 pm-8:00 pm and October 9 7:30 am-12:00 pm. No school Friday October 9.

Module 1 - This module includes counting experiences that integrate the four parts of the number core: number sequence, cardinality, one-to-one correspondence, and written number symbols. Students connect sorting a group into parts and decomposing numbers.

Students can...
decode and encode by practicing sounds and letter formations.
tell a part of the story by identifying a key detail in a story read this week.
Students will bring home a reading log on Monday to record minutes read or sight words practiced for 45 minutes during the week. Return the log on Friday.

Social Studies-Native Americans
Students can: compare and contrast how Native Americans lived differently than them by listening to stories about 3 tribes.
Students will hear stories about Native American tribes from the Eastern Woodlands, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest. They will hear how they build homes, find food, and do jobs throughout their days.
