Troubleshooting Power

If your chromebook is not charging or not turning on:

  1. Check power connections.

Remove power strips and surge protectors; connect the ac power adapter directly to the ac power outlet.

  1. Inspect the AC power adapter. Make sure the power cable is attached to the adapter brick and plugged into the Chromebook. Check cord for damage.

  2. Make sure the AC power source is working; plug soemthing into outlet such as a lamp or hair dryer.



Troubleshooting Hardware

If your chromebook harware is not working:(i.e. keyboard, touchpad, USB port)

  1. Turn off your Chromebook, then turn it back on

Troubleshooting Display / Load Errors

  1. Check Internet connection

  2. Clear cached images, files, cookies, and other site data

  3. Close tabs, apps, and extensions


How to clear cache and cookies

  1. Open Google Chrome

  2. At the top-right, find the icon

  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data

  4. At the top, select All time

  5. Next, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, leave the other options unchecked

  6. Click Clear data


How to Share a Google Document

  1. Open a document to share

  2. Click the blue "share" button in the upper right hand corner

  3. In "people" box, enter the entire school email address (currently fake but look like emails for students.)

  4. Click "done" The person you shared the document can log in and have access to the document. Your teacher will get an email notification.
