Common Problems and How to Fix them

Chromebook Frozen

If you are on a page and the Chromebook freezes up you can do the following to get back up and running.

• Hold down the power button for 10 seconds. This will make the Chromebook shut down. You will need to press the power button again to turn the Chromebook back on.

or

• Press the Power button and the Refresh button on the keyboard at the same time. This will make the Chromebook reboot.

Chromebook Will Not Turn On

If you cannot get the Chromebook to turn on by pressing the power button try the following.

1. Unplug the power cord from the Chromebook if it is plugged in.

2. Close the screen to the Chromebook.

3. Plug the power cord back into the Chromebook.

4. Open the screen on the Chromebook and wait a few seconds for it to start up.

The Volume is too Low or High

If you are having trouble hearing content on the Chromebook or the content is too loud you can quickly adjust the volume with the volume buttons on the top row.

The Screen is too Dim

If the image on the screen is too dim you can brighten the image using the buttons on the top row of the keyboard.
