Painting

Come show off your painting skills or just try your hand at painting for your first time. Everyone is welcome. Everything is provided.

Careers & Coding in the Yakima Valley

Students will be introduced to the programming of Micro-controllers. These devices are used in the agricultural careers in our valley. This will be a hands on activity with CTE science teachers. Students will also explore in demand careers in our valley.

SilverQuicken Quest Club

Through a series of stories, puzzles, locks, ciphers, and games all set in the magical world of the secret Silverquicken School we will explore game theory, linguistics, cryptography, unsolved math mysteries, and more. Crack codes and decipher messages to solve mysteries in groups with other students.

Wood Working

If a machine is in the shop you can learn how to use it!  In woodworking club we will research something you want to cut, build, or make and we will develop the blue prints to finish it.  Anything in the shop is at your disposal.  Come learn how to feel confident using tools or machines to build, repair, or construct to your heart’s desire.

Computer help

Computer Essentials Support is intended for students currently enrolled in CE 101 with either Mr. Webster or Ms. Lee.

Ms. Lee will be available to help students who need to complete assignments that either cannot be completed on their Chromebook, or need help completing an assignment. Students will be expected to head to Room 100, at the Junior High, and be ready to work.

This will not be a time for playing games.

Fun in the kitchen...come join Cooking Club.  Hone in on your cooking skills while connecting with friends.  Learn new ideas for building positive memories that promote future healthy enjoyable cooking and baking.  Delicious new recipes await.

Ballet Folklorico


**THIS ACTIVITY HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE WINTER 2 SEASON*

Participants learn how to perform Mexican Folk Dances. This will include learning about the history behind the traditional outfits, and traditional celebrations when these dances are performed. It might be possible that the team could have one or two presentations to a real audience. If that is the case, parents will receive further details.

Learn a new game or play an old favorite. This is a time to relax,  make friends and have some fun.


Lego fans, come and build Legos and make new friends!  We will have some sets for you to build and some idea books so you have many options!   You can even come up with some unique creations all your own!

Learn a new language or improve your language skills! Students will explore a language of their interest using Rosetta Stone online.

Band Support

Band support is open to all 6th-8th graders who need a place to practice and rehearse. We will spend time on individual parts for band classes, as well as new ensembles like duets and quartets of like-minded students!

Chemistry Club

thINK Tank is EVOLVING!


We will become a small band of scientists working with chemicals to 'observe' chemistry in action.  Chemical change and chemical reactions will be explored and explained.  The products will all create 'colorful' experiences for our club members.

Students will be provided with safety gear and be expected to follow the outlined safety protocols at all times.  We will wear gloves, lab jackets, lab goggles and hair must be tied back.  


 Mondays (open to ALL students) with Mrs. Cox in room 121 at the Junior High from 2:45-3:45.

Builders Club

Do you like helping and serving others, your school and your community? Builders Club members develop self-awareness while discovering a desire to serve their school and community.

You will gain a service-club experience and make a difference. 

We will learn about showing more care and compassion for each other, identifying needs in our school and community, and discussing service projects that we can perform to make a difference.


*This club is similar to K-Kids at Wide Hollow Elementary and Key club at West Valley High School.*

Have you always wanted to learn ASL in a fun and interactive environment? Now is your chance! This interactive club will introduce you to basic conversational signs and skills, the manual alphabet and signed numbers that will enable you to communicate with your peers with ASL and build your knowledge to one day communicate with members of the Deaf community

Homework Help



Homework help is intended for students who need extra time, support or a quiet place to complete assignments. 


You MUST register to attend (just like sports and our other activities). Each season/session will last four-six weeks. 


All 6th-8th graders are able to register and attend in either building (MS or JH). Students are expected to head straight to the room where they registered to attend. Teachers will take attendance.
