Color Guard

Have you seen the color guard that performs as part of marching band and thought you’d like the opportunity to be part of it?  

You’ll be taught the basics of using flags starting with simple moves like the drop spin and moving on to tosses.  We’ll learn routines and help you prepare to be part of HS color guard if you choose to.

Language Lab

Learn a new language or improve your language skills! Students will explore a language of their interest using Rosetta Stone online.

Art

Want more art in your life?  Come join Art Club on Wednesdays.  Be creative working with new materials or ones you’ve always loved. You can work individually or in a group.  We use a variety of mediums such as paints, clays, drawing supplies, glass etching, public art projects, crafts, etc.  Bring your suggestions and the sky is the limit on your level of creativity!  Beginners to advanced artists are welcome!

Math Support

This opportunity is best for students who do not have a math support class during the school day. 

Students will use the online program IXL. Teachers will identify areas of need using data from IXL and our regular curriculum (iReady). Students will have an opportunity to work online and in a small group and/or one-on-one with a certificated math teacher.

Participants learn how to perform Mexican Folk Dances. This will include learning about the history behind the traditional outfits, and traditional celebrations when these dances are performed. It might be possible that the team could have one or two presentations to a real audience. If that is the case, parents will receive further details.

Builders Club

Do you like helping and serving others, your school and your community? Builders Club members develop self-awareness while discovering a desire to serve their school and community.

You will gain a service-club experience and make a difference. 

We will learn about showing more care and compassion for each other, identifying needs in our school and community, and discussing service projects that we can perform to make a difference.

American Sign Language 

Have you always wanted to learn ASL in a fun and interactive environment? Now is your chance! This interactive club will introduce you to basic conversational signs and skills, the manual alphabet and signed numbers that will enable you to communicate with your peers with ASL and build your knowledge to one day communicate with members of the Deaf community

Homework Help


Homework help is intended for students who need extra time, support or a quiet place to complete assignments. 


This year you MUST register to attend (just like sports and our other activities). Each season/session will last four-six weeks. 


All 6th-8th graders are able to register and attend in either building (MS or JH). Students are expected to head straight to the room where they registered to attend. Teachers will take attendance.
