Mail Receipt & Sorting
Incoming mail is received from USPS, private carriers, and couriers, then sorted for distribution to state agencies.

All mail is inspected for potential threats, including hazardous materials or suspicious packages.

Timely delivery to the appropriate state office or department.
Package Handling
Small packages are processed and agencies are notified or coordinated with for pickup.

All mail addressed to ZIP code 25305 is delivered to the WVOT Central Mail facility, where it is sorted into department CMO (Central Mail Office) boxes.
Mail Preparation & Metering
Outgoing mail is weighed, metered, and postage is applied according to USPS standards.
Bulk Mailing Services
Handles all packages being shipped out of CMO.
Certified & Registered Mail
Official documents can be sent with tracking, delivery confirmation, or signature requirements.
USPS & Carrier Coordination
WVOT ensures outgoing mail complies with postal regulations and coordinates with carriers for timely pickup.
Interoffice Mail Distribution
Delivery of forms, memos, and other internal documents between agencies.
Courier & Special Deliveries
Time-sensitive documents can be delivered via special courier services within state government.
Address Standardization
Ensures mail is properly addressed to avoid delays and undeliverable items.
Agencies with a Central Mail Office (CMO) box may opt into mail pickup and delivery services by WVOT.
Daily Mail Pickup (2 times per day, Monday–Friday): $175/month
Flexible Service Options available — agencies may request pickup, drop-off, or both, depending on needs.
