Spanish Honor Society is an honor bestowed upon students who meet eligibility requirements. Spanish Honor Society is an honor society committed to spreading love for the Spanish language and giving back to their local community. They have demonstrated their dedication through hosting food drives, volunteering, and raising money for scholarships for the Senior members of the society. CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:
1. Must be 10, 11th or 12th grade student during the 2025-2026 school year.
2. Must have A-, A, or A+ in Spanish 1 and 2 on transcript when applying.
3. Must have B+, A-, A, or A+ in Spanish 3C (Dual Enrollment Course MCC) on transcript when applying.
4. Must enroll in Spanish 4C and earn B+, A-, A, or A+
5. Must not have been suspended in any of the years in high school they have attended at WHS.
6. Must have exceptional attitude and behavior. Disrespect towards faculty, staff, and students will not be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS ADMITTED TO THE PROGRAM:
1. Attend monthly Spanish Honor Society meetings throughout the school year.
2. Participate in events such as fundraising or community service.
3. Join Remind/Google Classroom - Announcements and reminders will be sent out throughout the school year using Remind and Google Classroom. Codes will be shared with those who are selected.
4. REQUIRED/MANDATORY - Attend Induction Ceremony (April)
5. Attend any events Spanish Honor Society Host. (Creating/donating baskets for Thanksgiving Drive, Bake Sales, Trunk or Treat, etc.)
