Hello! I'm Ms. Burns. Either myself, or Mrs. Vitali and I will be your English teachers this year! I cannot wait to get to know each of you better. To start us off, I would like to tell you all a little about myself. I am from Colonia, though I actually was a student here at JFK. I attended Rider University where I earned my degrees in English, Education, and Special Education. I have taught everything from 1st-12th grade, except for middle school. I am currently engaged to my fiancé, Joe, and we live with his son Liam. I love being with my family and most outdoor activities (with the exception of fishing). I look forward to meeting you all and having a fun & successful semester!!

Hi! I'm Mrs. Vitali. Mrs. Burns and I will be your English teachers this year! We are eager to learn about you all, so we will begin by telling you a little about ourselves. I am from Fords. I went to School #25, Fords Middle, and Woodbridge High. But my educational career did not end there! I earned my Bachelor's degree in Literature at Ramapo College of NJ and my Master's degree in Reading Specialization at Kean University. This is my 15th year teaching. I have taught grades 7-12, but mostly freshmen and sophomore English. I married my college sweetheart, Dave, and we have two beautiful daughters: Charlotte, 6, and Madelyn, 4. I love spending time with my family and being outdoors! I look forward to a fun semester together as we venture into this *virtual* journey together!

Fridays will be reserved for independent study and/or student group work. This will be dedicated time to allow you to practice weekly skills and work towards long-term goals. Fridays will also be reserved for questions and/or extra help.
