Check your child's folder each day for notices/homework
Ask your child to recap the day. This helps with sequencing. Have them explain any new concepts.
Practice math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
Spend time counting and telling time. Create math stories.
Play math games! Make them up or use our school sites. Many games can be played with dice or playing cards.
Math is all around us! Count items as you put away groceries. Help measure ingredients for a recipe. Work out cost/change when at the cashier. Find the area of a room. Where can you find a math problem?
