This summer your child has access to Clever and all of our regular school apps. Please take advantage of this to keep your child on track for September in Third Grade! The Clever password is the same as Google password and can be found on the Genesis Parent Portal.
Read 20 minutes each day or every other day. You can use Epic! and Learning A to Z all summer! Take a family trip to the library to check out some books! Find a quiet place and try to read the whole time without being distracted. Remember to read different types of books and have fun.

Practice your math facts: addition and subtraction. Use your fact triangles! IXL is available too! Remember to log in through Clever. You can also work on the summer packets that I sent home in June.
Practice telling time and counting money. These are very important skills for your third grader to maintain.
Maintain Writing Skills: Keep a summer journal to practice your skills. Write about books you have read or things you did today. Write about your vacation or a trip you want to take. Write at least 4 sentences and remember capitals and punctuation!
Work on Personal skills: Learn how to tie your shoes. Keep your bedroom organized and neat. Ask your parents for extra responsibilities around your home to help out and become more independent. Be sure you know your address, home phone number, and at least one parent's cell phone number. The summer is a great time to practice all of these skills.
Spend lots of time outside and enjoy your summer! See you in September!
