Signatures

We will review key tools in Illustrator by tracing hand-drawn signatures. One initials signature and one full name signature will be traced in a re-introduction lesson. *This signature will be added to each project at their completion prior to submission.

Graphic Design- Google Classroom Banner

We will review key tools in Photoshop by creating banners for our Graphic Design 2 Google Classroom. Students will compose imagery using various photos and effects.

Custom Alphabet

Students will create their personalized alphabet with thematic reference in Adobe Illustrator. Upper and lowercase letters will be arranged with both stroke and fill colors present.

Visual Infographic Resume (with self portrait)

Students will compose resumes for career or college interests. Visual infographic resumes with symbols, shapes and self portraits will be created to follow proper layout techniques (centered, rule of thirds).

Comic Strips

Students will create a copy strip featuring original characters for a well known joke. Students will illustrate by tracing hand-drawn sketches in Adobe Illustrator.

Animated Flip Books

Students will use Adobe Illustrator to create a flip book following the broad idea of "movement". Sketches will be traced on original artboard. After, multiple art boards will be created for minor changes to character, gradients and backgrounds. All artboards will be saved and pened in Photoshop, saved as JPEGS. JPEG stills will be added to a Powerpoint Presentation, set to an automated timer and played on critique day to resemble the beginnings of cartoon animation.
