Grading

66.7% of your grade comes from minor assessments (classwork, homework, quizzes)

33.3% of your grade comes from major assessments (tests or projects)

Late classwork assignments are always accepted.  1st day late is -5 points, 2nd day -10 points, 3rd day -15 points but beyond that will be an automatic 50% given that the assignment was completed in it's entirety.

Late HOMEWORK ALEKS topics will be a 50.  Students have a whole week to complete 10 topics.  If they do ZERO but make up the topics the following week, they will get half credit.

Zero's will only be given for little to no effort, or missing completely.

District policy for absences:  Students have two days to make up work per single day absence.

EXTRA CREDIT is offered WEEKLY and is OPTIONAL.  Any student who completes a minimum of 30 points (each week) in GET MORE MATH will get 0.5 extra credit (added on to their final grade) in the gradebook for that week (starts FRIDAY and ends midnight THURSDAY each week); a student who chooses NOT to do this, or does less than 30 points, will be EXEMPT.  They have the opportunity to earn up to 5 extra points overall, added on to their overall grade for the marking period.  The 30 points do NOT have to be done all at once; it must be a combined over the course of the week!
