About the Teacher

Hello, my name is Mr. Arick Rebetje. I teach United States and World History. The 2025-26 school year will be my third at JFKMHS. Prior to working at JFKMHS, I taught for two-and-a-half years at Perth Amboy High School, and as a long-term substitute at Woodbridge Middle School and Colonia High School. 

I grew up in Woodbridge Township, graduating from Colonia High School in 2011, and from Norwich University (Vermont) in 2015. I earned a master's degree in American History from Gettysburg College in 2025.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army. I am lucky to have previously lived in Vermont, Oklahoma, South Korea, and northern New York. 

I love playing hockey and chess, running, reading history books, watching rugby and football, and spending quality time with family and friends.
