classroom expectations

The two foremost expectations that I have in my classroom are a sense of mutual respect and a positive attitude. Only with these in-hand is learning possible!  

Additionally, I expect each student to: 

• Attempt each assignment

• Turn in each assignment on time (although I do except late-work)

• Participate in classroom discussions/debates

• Refrain from using their phone in class

• Limit computer usage (in class) to classwork/studying 

• Ask questions! (When stuck or when curious)

• Keep conversations generally-focused on day's lesson and appropriate for a classroom; of course, socializing is healthy and normal so long as it does not detract from class objectives

• Come to class each day with a pen/pencil, a notebook, and a charged Chromebook
