General Music Classes at WMS meet during Quarters 2 and 4.
Students in General Music learn how music enriches our lives and cultures each and every day! This is accomplished through listening, group and performance based assessments, but without the expectation of participating in an after school concert.
Class Materials (All Grade Levels)
- Pencil
- Wired headphones
- Your Charged Chromebook
- Optional: A book for silent reading (if you finish your work early)

Here's a taste of the many exciting units we will study in General Music Class:
-Introduction to Musical Theater
- Patriotic Music & The Star Spangled Banner
- Reading Music in Treble and Bass Clefs
- World Music Drumming (6th Grade Only)
- Ukulele and Guitar (7th Grade Only)
-Electronic Music Production (8th Grade Only)
Late Work Policy (All Grade Levels)
I accept late assignments within reason for up to 90% credit. Once we move on to a new unit, I no longer accept late work from the previous unit.
