National Hispanic Heritage Month is annually celebrated from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

WHS Hispanic Culture Club Visit
October 30, 2025
Grade 5 students will create a Hispanic Role Models Mural for Mawbey's Hall of Heroes display
Grades K-5 will complete various read alouds and projects about holidays (Dia de los Muertos, Cinco de Mayo), celebrations (Quinceanera), food, Hispanic countries, and Hispanic role models posted in our school DEI Google Classroom.
In October, Grades 1 and 2 will participate in Hispanic Heritage Stations facilitated by WHS Hispanic Club members.
All grades will create Hispanic Heritage themed projects in Art classes under Mrs. Klein's instruction.
