Jazz Band

    The CHS Jazz Band is a highly skilled group of 9-12th grade students.  Auditions are held in October (TBA) and students rehearse every Tuesday after school from October - May.  The jazz band performs at the Winter & Spring Concerts, and community functions.  In past competitions, the Jazz Band has earned Superior ratings and our featured soloists have earned individual awards on numerous occasions. 

    In the past, we have been lucky enough to have been awarded a grant to work with instructors from "Jazz House Kids".  These artists include trumpeter Lee Hogans, www.leehogans.com and saxophonist Bruce Williams. www.brucewilliamsjazz.com
