Meeting forms from 6/17/25
The Marching Patriots consist of wind, percussion, and colorguard students from grades 8-12. There is no audition necessary to join the group and any student can join. The Marching Patriots perform at a variety of school and community functions from August through May such as football games, pep rallies, parades, and other community events. The band competes on the USBAND circuit and earns a multitude of awards each year.
The Colonia High School bands have enjoyed a tremendous amount of growth and success in recent years. In 2015, the Marching Patriots took home three 1st Place finishes and 10 individual caption awards (Best Music, Best Effect, Best Visual, Best Guard) in USBAND competitions while breaking their all-time highest score. The band was also selected to represent New Jersey at the 2016 National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C., which was broadcast on PBS and seen by over 1.5 million viewers. Over the last ten years, the band has performed for the maiden voyage of Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas cruise ship, and has traveled to Boston, Cleveland, Virginia, and Washington DC. The Marching Patriots have been selected to perform in Disneyland California, and Walt Disneyworld Florida six times!
Our percussion ensemble which meets weekly from January-June in order to prepare for the upcoming fall season and perform in the Spring concert. Colorguard auditions take place in the Spring.
