Classroom Rules/Procedures
Be on time for class. If you are not in the classroom when the bell rings you will be considered late unless you have a pass.
No profanity or name calling. You are to treat everyone with the utmost respect. You will be warned once for any problem regarding profanity or issues with another student, as well as a phone call home. After the one warning you will be written up and sent to the office.
All work is to be your own work, in other words there is no tolerance for cheating. Anyone caught cheating will receive a zero on the assignment.
You are not allowed to change your seat as you will be given assigned seats. The only way you can change your seat is if you are directed to do so by a teacher.
You need to come to class prepared EVERYDAY. This includes a pencil and notebook/folder or binder, as well as your homework. If you come to class unprepared you will have points deducted from your class participation grade. If you come to class unprepared more than 2 days in a row, there will be a phone call home to a parent/guardian.
Food is not allowed in the classroom. You are only allowed to have a bottle of water.
Homework will be checked daily. Late assignments will not be tolerated, so if you do not have your homework a phone call will be made home to a parent/guardian.
If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to find out what you need to make up. You will have 2 days for every day you are absent to make up an assignment. If your assignment is late after the due date a phone call will be made home to a parent/guardian.
Bathroom passes will not be given at the beginning or the end of the block. Do not interrupt the teacher during the middle of a lesson to ask for a pass. If you use the bathroom more than once a week, points will be deducted from your class participation grade.
