This introductory course exposes students to the geography, language, culture, and history of countries where these languages are spoken.
What Students Will Learn:
Core vocabulary in each language
Basic map skills and geographic awareness
Cultural celebrations and traditions
Historical and cultural connections between countries
Through a variety of engaging activities, including technology-based lessons, TPR (Total Physical Response) activities, and cooperative learning, students will get a taste of these languages and their rich cultural backgrounds.
Goals of the Course:
The program is designed to foster language acquisition, cultural sensitivity, and skill development. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of these languages and cultures, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future language studies in middle and high school.
