Upon entering class, students will read and copy the daily objectives into their notebooks or Chromebooks.  They will then continue to complete the "Do Now" activity individually.  This will occur each and every day at the beginning of class.

The objectives will state the topics and activities we will be covering for the class time.  Students are then aware of what is expected of them. 

The "Do Now" activity will encourage students to begin class by brainstorming and writing.  Students will complete this short activity individually.  Some examples of these are: answering questions, defining vocabulary, writing on a picture prompt, reading related activities, or character education activities.

The expectation for class is to stay actively involved in class readings, instruction, and communication.  Assignments are expected to be turned in upon due dates provided.  An assignment will be excepted late even if extended time is given, but a 10 point penalty will be given for each day late.
