While most technological inventions are beneficial, designers must consider the potential negative impacts of a new technology including the unintended ones. Can you think of any inventions that have had a negative impact on humans, the environment, or other organisms?

As young humans and change makers, you have the potential to change the world! Your actions each day may have a small impact on the world.  However, combined with the small actions of the billions of people in the world, the impact is exponential.  

As we move through this course, we will explore more recent technologies and the benefits and potential negative impacts of them.  In addition, we will integrate a variety of computer applications that are being used in many careers as well as in school.  One of our goals is to help you realize your impact and to develop your science, technology, engineering, math, and design skills that are so valuable to our future.
