About the Director

Garon Turcotte-Smail serves as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment for the Windham Southwest Supervisory Union (WSWSU). 

In this role, Garon leads the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of curricula and assessment systems across the union, ensuring that instruction is aligned with best practices, state standards, and student needs. 

He supports professional learning for educators through the WSWSU Professional Learning Hub, coordinating resources, workshops, and modules to foster continuous growth among teachers. 

Before taking on this leadership position, Garon built experience working in school leadership and curriculum roles (including as principal) in the region, giving him a deep understanding of classroom realities and instructional needs.
