I've said rules so many times in my head as I've been writing this, that it's now come to the point where it doesn't sound like a real word. But here we are!
Let's delve into the topic of rules – not the rigid, inflexible variety, but the kind that serves as a digital compass for your students. With Classwize, you can effortlessly establish rules, allowing you to govern and guide your students' online activities without compromising on their learning experience
So, what is a rule? Basically, a rule is very simply a website, or a category of websites that your students are or are not allowed to access while in your class.
To create a rule, you need to first open one of your classrooms. Once you have and can see all your students, in the right hand corner you will see the button, +New Rule. Clicking on this opens a new window where you actually create the rule.
You can designate what resources on the internet you want to allow or block.
Signatures (e.g., Spotify)
Categories (e.g., Social Media)
Sites (e.g., www.facebook.com)
URLs (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg7upL8GL7Y)
Choose to allow or block, and if this rule will apply to the whole class or just specific students.
