Drawing and Painting 2

Drawing/Painting II (ART811) Prerequisite: Successful completion of Drawing/Painting I Semester Course

Drawing and Painting II expands and further refines the student’s artistic intention and voice through continued studio practice with two-dimensional art making media (such as collage, paint, pencil) and techniques while responding to the work of a variety of artists and processes. Drawing and Painting II challenges students to relate their own artistic ideas and practice to societal, historical, and cultural contexts to make connections and deepen their understanding. Students will work towards creating portfolio worthy pieces and presenting a body of work. A sketchbook will be required.
