Information Technology 

Innovation Pathways students enroll in a series of industry-focused electives that prepare them for a wide variety of careers in the high-demand information industry. The Innovation Pathways program has five (5) requirements that must be fulfilled before graduation. 

Students must successfully pass two (3) technical classes at West Springfield, from the following choices:

-Computer Science 1 AND Computer Science 2

-Web Page Development AND Web Development 2

-Third Computer Science Course of Choice

Next, students must complete two (2) college-level courses which include any of the following:

-AP Computer Science Course of Choice (WSHS)

-AP Math Course of Choice (WSHS)

-AP Physics (WSHS)

-AP English Course of Choice (WSHS)

-Technical Math (STCC or WSU)

-English 101 (STCC or WSU)

-English 102  (STCC or WSU)

-Statistics (STCC or WSU)

-Psychology 101 OR Sociology 101 (STCC or WSU)

And finally, the last requirement is complete either:

-the Computer Science Capstone

-a 100-hour internship in an industry-based setting
