US History II

Welcome back, students! US History II is a full-year course that covers U.S. history from 1918 through contemporary America. Throughout the year, we will take a close look at the social, political, economic and technological aspects of this time period. The various events and ideas of the past will be analyzed and evaluated in terms of their correlation to society today. Students will interact directly with history by going through the steps a historian would take in analyzing historical events.

Student-centered learning is a key feature of this class. Throughout the year, we will develop our skills in analytical reading and writing and the critical evaluation of primary and secondary sources. Each week we will have lessons that include all or most of the following: group activities, lectures, primary and text readings, critical discussions, writing skills activities, and videos.

All assignment deadlines can be seen on the unit calendar below. Please remember that some assignments are not posted in Classroom and that students are responsible for collecting and completing all work after an absence. Check below the calendar for a list of upcoming assignments for your class.
